Swordtember

2025 | Gundam GQuuuuuuX

A couple of guys in an art-focused Discord server I’m in were doing a daily “Swordtember” drawing challenge & invited me to join in. I unfortunately don’t have the focus for daily drawing challenges, but I joked that I might be able to get through if there was a daily Gundam challenge. The guys challenged me to draw sword-themed Gundam art for the last day, and I delivered!

The choice of sword type is a nod to the final episode of the original Gundam series, which includes a dramatic duel between the two main characters. I had not yet finished that show at the time of drawing this, but it’s a little hard to avoid spoilers for a 45-year old TV show (lol).
